Italian molded plywood ‘Medea’ chairs designed by Vittorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue in 1955. Molded teak wood seats are supported by black enamelled steel legs, accented with brass hardware. A perfect representation of the organic modern style. The natural beauty of the wood grain is accentuated by its sculpted plywood form. First advertised in Domus Issue 329 in April 1975, they have become an iconic piece of mid century design and highly collectible. The two left available are the lighter ones pictured, but they are currently undergoing restoration and re-oiling to get the teak looking ship shape again.
