Six Philippe Starck Café chairs

This is a rare early set of six Café Chairs in black leather with black metal frames by designer Philippe Starck for Baleri Italia. Designed in 1984 this set can be identified as the  early production design by the slit leather spring bound strip that forms the seat. The back rest detailing was the first example of this feature that shows up in several of Starck’s chair designs. Simple and well made. All six chairs are in excellent condition with little to no imperfections. Comfortable and easily stored as they stack, they can be integrated into modern or Industrial interiors easily. SQ001 H73 W52 D51cm
