Born in Italy in 1931, Sergio Mazza was responsible for creating many iconic designs for Artemide the company he cofounded with Ernesto Gismondi. Throughout the 1960s, he developed architectural led lighting to fiberglass molded seating and other home products. As a result of their their clean lines, intuitive utility and limited production runs they have become incredibly collectible.
This ‘Pi’ wall lamp by Mazza for Artemide is constructed in nickeled brass, black painted metal and opaline glass. Architectural and incomparable, this piece produces a lovely filtered light through it’s beautiful glass shade.
