Alan Wallwork was born in 1931 and produced pottery in London from the late 1950s, followed by moves to Dorset and France. His work in stoneware and porcelain work is widely appreciated and collected for its signature use of organic shapes, colours and textures.
This beautifully formed stoneware bowl is imbued with earthy tones and textures, hinting of fossilisation or a geological sample. The surface is delicately punctured, like a seedpod. Signed underside. In excellent condition.
