An exceptional arm chair made from solid oak. Whilst the individual staves are very delicate each one is precisely finger jointed into the frame resulting in the chair being remarkably strong and light. An elegant masterclass in craftsmanship. A piece of classic Dutch design, the linear nature of the piece gives the impression of a relatively large chair occupying minimal space in the room. Part of the permanent collection of the Stedelijk museum in Amsterdam. In excellent original condition, it’s age has mellowed the oak and has a wonderful warmth.
