Dutch designer and architect Ruud Jan Kokke has described himself as a “builder” – obsessed with construction technique as well as simple forms. He set up his studio in 1986 and Some of his designs appear in Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Stedelijk Museum.
This dark Latjes chair, in original dark stain has been expertly crafted – the seat and back made from fine dovetailed oak staves. Remarkably strong, a feat of engineering. It is in good original condition with a few minor surface scratches.
