A charming early 20th century drinks cabinet made from birch ply, which has a striking burr grain. Retains original label from the famous De Bijenkorf department store in Holland. Early pioneers of birch ply in Holland included Cor Alons and later Cees Braakman, this may have been designed by them or indeed an influenced them. A lovely early example of the technique. Refinished, with chip to one edge, some age to ebonised legs, brass door joint slightly stiff.
